Jazz dance is performance and style that originated in America in the mid 20th Century to Jazz music. Jazz dance develops alongside pop music and is the physical embodiment of popular music of the times. Nowadays it's an umbrella term for a very broad range of styles including theatre Jazz, street Jazz, lyrical Jazz, technical Jazz and many more. Jazz Dance styles are often seen in West End shows, Music Videos and on Television. 
We focus on technique,  performance, confidence, style and choreography in our Jazz classes and follow the ISTD exam board to work through exams.
